Why did you choose McCourt? I chose McCourt primarily because of the location. If you want to study public policy, there is no better place to do so than D.C. Not only does the location enable you to be in the middle of where national policy is made, but it also means that your professors are more than just academics. They have practical, real-world experience creating and implementing policy. As a result, you not only learn the fundamentals of how to create and analyze policy, but you gain a better understanding of what that process is like when navigating workplace politics.
What is the best part of your experience so far? The best part of my experience so far has been my professors. Like I mentioned above, they have real-world experience so they bring a fresh, practical perspective to policy analysis. Because they create policy outside of academia, they bring an excitement and passion to the subject matter that rubs off onto the students.
