Why did you choose McCourt? I chose McCourt because of the location (you just can't beat DC) and the flexible evening program offering. Attending grad school part time in DC has allowed me to focus on my career in Government Affairs while getting a top-rated education at night. I was also drawn to McCourt because of their unbeatable extracurricular options from all the different policy clubs to the incredible events with high-level speakers.
What was the best part of your experience? There are two things that have really made my time at McCourt stand out. First and foremost is the community. My cohort of students in the evening program are really close and I feel so fortunate to get to learn from each and every one of them in class. I have formed fantastic friendships that will go well beyond my time at McCourt. Second has been my involvement with GU Politics, a program at McCourt dedicated to reconnecting young people with the notion that politics is a noble vehicle for public service.
What internships did you have during your time at McCourt? Fellow at the Bryce Harlow Foundation
Student organization involvement while at McCourt: President of McCourt Energy & Environment (E&E)
Undergraduate University, degree, and major: San Diego State University,
BA Political Science, BA Sustainability
Hobbies / Interests: I love spending as much time as I can outdoors! Most weekends you can find me at the park, on a hike, or on a day trip to the beach with my pup Willow.
