Launched in 2011, the Fund for Student Excellence provides financial assistance to students who are advancing their careers with substantive and meaningful internships that are unpaid. Each recipient will receive a $2,500 stipend to help defray costs associated with their unpaid summer internships.

This year's recipients will intern both nationally and internationally, with organizations such as: US Department of State, Economic Section, in Belgrade, Serbia; D.C. Appleseed in Washington, DC; The World Bank in Washington, DC; United States Senate, Committee on Finance; and the Millennium Challenge Corporation in Lusaka, Zambia.

The McCourt School believes in experiential learning and supports students who wish to apply their skills and gain experience while making a difference in their field of interest. This Fund receives support from the McCourt School and our alumni, who understand the value of unpaid internships.
