This course is ideal for ambitious political actors, managers, and executives who are ready to take their presentation skills to the next level. If you plan to speak in public (and you should!), this course is right for you.
Many leaders in Washington seem to have a magical ability to deliver powerful presentations—whether in a convention hall or at a town hall. But these leaders rarely create this “magic” on their own. They work with a cadre of communication professionals who teach them how to develop effective presentations and choreograph memorable moments. In this workshop, we will go “inside” the art of public speaking and experiment with some of these same techniques. Through interactive exercises and small-group activities, participants will learn how to deliver compelling presentations that captivate their listeners and motivate them to take action.
By the end of this course, participants should be able to:
- Project confidence in front of an audience
- Speak with clarity and conviction
- Use language skillfully
- Deliver effective presentations
