1. When is the LEAD Conference?
The conference will take place on Thursday, September 19, 2013 from 8:30 am – 4:45 pm. The optional breakfast will take place from 7:45 am – 8:15 am.

2. Where is the LEAD Conference?
The conference will be held on the campus of Georgetown University, in the Davis Performing Arts Center's Gonda Theater.  The optional breakfast and lunch will be held in the Georgetown University Hotel and Conference Center, just a short walk from the Gonda Theater.

3. What is the theme of the LEAD Conference?
The conference will present policy ideas for jump-starting U.S. economic growth. Academics, thought leaders and policy practitioners will address this theme from a variety of perspectives. We expect moderators and panelists to discuss the role of government fiscal and monetary policy (including the importance of government debt), tax reform, regulation, human capital, trade and immigration, innovation, and the link between inequality and growth.

4. Who will attend?
The conference is open to the public, but we expect a diverse audience interested in economic policy including policymakers, practitioners, researchers, students, and representatives from sectors such as education, trade, labor, job training, and banking. We expect approximately 350 attendees.

5. How much does it cost to register?
The LEAD Conference is free and open to the public, but space is limited and all attendees must register by the deadline. The cost of breakfast and lunch is $20 per person, and optional for attendees. Georgetown University offers a number of alternate dining options, should you choose not to participate in the breakfast and lunch.

6. What forms of payment are accepted online?
We ONLY accept payment by credit card for the breakfast and lunch. If you have questions, please contact leadconference@georgetown.edu.

7. Can I cancel my registration?
Yes. We kindly request that registrants who cannot attend the conference cancel their registration by emailing their confirmation number and name with the word “cancel” to leadconference@georgetown.edu.The deadline to cancel with a refund for breakfast and lunch is September 13, 2013. We regret that we cannot offer refunds on cancellations made after September 13, 2013.

8. Is there a discount for students?
The LEAD Conference is free and open to the public, but space is limited and all attendees must register by the deadline. There is a $20 fee for the breakfast and lunch, which is optional for all attendees.

9. I am traveling to the conference from out of town. Where should I stay during the conference?
Please visit the Travel and Accommodations section of the Georgetown University website for information on nearby hotels.

10. Where should I park on the day of the conference?
Due to the high cost and limited availability of parking on or near Georgetown’s campus, public transportation is recommended. Please see the Travel and Accommodations section of the Georgetown University website for more information. If using public transportation, be sure to plan accordingly and allocate additional time to travel.

11. Are there accommodations at the conference for guests with special needs?
