Hometown: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Areas of Interest: Economics, US Domestic, Environment, Political Strategy
Why have you chosen McCourt? I chose McCourt because I wanted to be right in the middle of all the action happening in and around DC. This is the perfect place to network and dive right in with internships and other job opportunities. Immersion is always the best way to become acclimated with a culture, and so the middle of national politics and public policy, surrounded by the most successful people in their fields, seemed the obvious choice.
What's the best part of your experience so far? The best part of my experience so far has been the people I am surrounded by. The professors are so knowledgeable about their subjects and are always willing to meet and help out or just talk. The other students I am in class with everyday are so impressive and they challenge me every day to be better and think critically.
Undergraduate Degree and University: I attended the University of Pittsburgh and received degrees in Political Science and Economics. I graduated in 2016.
Hobbies / Interests: I love to go to foodie/wine/beer events in DC, VA, and MD. I love going to sporting events, no matter what sport or the teams playing. Also, I enjoy all possible movie marathons, particularly Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings/The Hobbit. Finally, I love being a nerdy tourist and doing all the cultural things, like museums, monuments, and concerts.
