Why have you chosen McCourt? I chose McCourt for two specific reasons. The first one is the program curriculum. I like how core courses focus on the importance of data analysis and the relevance of evidence-based policymaking in improving outcomes, while electives allow me to specialize in my policy areas of interest. My second reason was Georgetown location. I think there is no better place to understand and study the policy process and its relation to politics than DC. Especially during a Presidential Election year!

What's the best part of your experience so far? So far one of my best experiences was to represent our school at the National Invitational Public Policy Challenge hosted by the University of Pennsylvania in Spring. It was indeed a challenge that required solid team work: from developing a policy proposal to pitching it to different judges in multiple rounds. We made it to the finals! The whole process was amazing.

Undergraduate Degree and University: I hold a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs from the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education (ITESM Campus Guadalajara, Mexico).

Hobbies / Interests: I enjoy reading, jogging, spending time with friends, and discovering ramen spots in DC. I am passionate about the role technology plays in our lives and how we can use digital tools to foster civic engagement.
