Hometown: Eden Prairie, Minnesota
Areas of Interest: Health, International Development
Why have you chosen McCourt? The emphasis on quantitative analysis, mixed with McCourt's DC location, makes it the best fit for me. I'm interested in using data to improve global health outcomes, so this is really the best city for me to be in for finding internships, jobs, etc.
What's the best part of your experience so far? So far, probably the opportunities provided on campus - there are so many experts in so many fields coming through all the time to give talks and hold discussion sessions. The class schedule also makes it really easy to work on the side, which is fantastic.
Undergraduate Degree and University: I received my B.A in Public Policy and Economics from Duke University.
Hobbies / Interests: I worked in DC doing international development work for several years before starting my program, so happy to chat about life in DC as well as Georgetown. Outside of work/school, I'm usually reading, cooking, and traveling.
