Title: CCF’s Tricia Brooks Appointed to MACPAC

Tricia Brooks

The McCourt School of Public Policy congratulates the Center for Children and Families (CCF) Senior Fellow Tricia Brooks on her appointment to the Medicaid and CHIP Payment and Access Commission (MACPAC).

MACPAC is the congressionally-chartered commission set up to advise Congress on issues affecting Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program.

Ms. Brooks has been with the CCF since 2008. She leads their work with state partners to advance child and family coverage around the country and is the lead author of the annual 50 state survey on Medicaid eligibility and enrollment policies with the Kaiser Family Foundation.

Prior to joining CCF, Ms. Brooks served as the founding Chief Executive Officer of New Hampshire Healthy Kids, a legislatively-created, non-profit corporation that administered the state’s CHIP program and served as the Medicaid and CHIP consumer assistance hub. She is well known to readers of CCF’s SayAhhh! blog and to their many partners around the country through her prolific blogging and extensive technical assistance.
