Strengths-Based Leadership

Whether in an informal or formal leadership role, our influence, performance, and ability to create positive change is most often effected by whether or not we are putting our natural talents to use. Students will explore the theory and practices needed to engage and align their talents and strengths to improve individual and organizational performance. With this knowledge you can learn how to position yourself and others for maximum leadership effectiveness. Employing and developing our talents not only makes us more effective in our work, but also increases our work-life well-being.

Course Goals

By the end of the class, students will be able to:

  • Gain awareness of their natural strengths and talents;
  • Understand how to apply their strengths to influence organizational/policy change;
  • Learn how to position themselves for greater individual and organizational productivity

Target Audience

This course is designed for professionals in government, non-profit, and healthcare who are in formal or informal leadership roles, or those aspiring leaders looking to advance their role within their organization.
