The McCourt School is committed to making the world a better place through research and practice.

Your support can help us make a difference!

Dean’s Fund for Excellence

The Dean's Fund ensures that ongoing needs of our students are met and provides essential support for the School's highest priorities including scholarships, academic resources, technological improvements, student projects and more. A gift to the Dean's Fund, no matter the amount, will help support our growing success by allowing us to innovate and improve, to support faculty & programming, and to provide our students with invaluable opportunities.

McCourt Fund for Student Excellence

The McCourt School believes in experiential learning and supports students who wish to apply their skills and gain experience while making a difference in their field of interest. This Fund provides financial assistance to students who are advancing their careers with substantive and meaningful unpaid internships.

Student Engagement Fund

The McCourt School is proud that its students are active in a wide range of hands-on projects which allow them to develop and use their skills – for example, the Policy Innovation Lab project working in partnership with community organizations in DC’s Anacostia neighborhood on local policy and program issues, and ongoing sustainable service projects in Central America. This Fund supports these efforts and allows for the development of new projects.

Leslie Whittington & Family Memorial Fund

Leslie Whittington was a professor of economics and public finance and had just completed her term as associate dean when she and her family died on September 11, 2001 aboard Flight 77, which crashed into the Pentagon. She was a highly respected and beloved member of the faculty and a passionate expert on family economics issues. This fund supports an annual student scholarship and prestigious public lecture in her honor.
