MPP Evening Program

The McCourt School offers an evening program for those who wish to continue working while attaining the MPP.  Students in the MPP-Evening Program (MP-EP) follow the same degree requirements as those in the full-time MPP program. By taking two classes a semester (including two summers), students can complete the degree in three years.

The typical course sequence for MPP-EP students is:

Year One:

  • PPOL 506 -- Intermediate Microeconomics
  • PPOL 501 -- Statistical Methods for Policy Analysis
Year One:

  • PPOL 502 -- Regression Methods for Policy Analysis
  • PPOL 507 -- Microeconomics II

  • PPOL or other approved electives (up to 6 credits)

  • PPOL 503 -- Advanced Regression and Program Evaluation Methods
  • PPOL 518/ PPOL 519 -- Ethics, Values and Public Policy/Ethics in a Globalized World
Year Three:
Fall Semester
  • PPOL 526 / PPOL 528 -- Policy Analysis Capstone I/Thesis Workshop I
